Petr Honěk and Radoslav Basel appointed to lead Czech hospital boards
New leadership appointments have been announced for major hospital groups in the Czech Republic.
Petr Honěk, a former deputy director of the General Health Insurance Company (VZP) with expertise in both medicine and law, has been appointed chairman of the board for the Příbram Regional Hospital. Honěk succeeds Stanislav Holobrada, who was removed following allegations regarding the manipulation of public contracts. Honěk aims to focus on personnel stability, transparent management, and maintaining high standards of patient care.
In the Plzeň region, Radoslav Basel has been appointed chairman of the boards for the Plzeň Region Hospital Group (NPK). Basel, an economist and former investment deputy at the Brno University Hospital, will oversee the boards of the Domažlice, Klatovy, Rokycany, and Stod廠 hospitals. His appointment follows the departure of predecessor Zdeněk Švanda.
