Petr Lébl dies at age 34 on the stage of his theater

Theater director Petr Lébl has passed away at the age of 34 on the stage of the theater he led. Friends and colleagues describe his life as a series of extremes, marked by intense manic and depressive phases.

In a letter written eight months prior to his death, Lébl expressed a sense of internal crisis and an inability to help himself. He reportedly left a detailed will and farewell letters for friends. His final wishes included specific musical requests for his funeral, mentioning artists such as Marta Kubišová.

Actor Petr Čtvrtníček noted that while Lébl's death was painful, it appeared to be an escape from profound depression that he had struggled to manage through professional psychiatric help.
