Petr Očko appointed Director General of Czech Confederation of Industry and Transport

Petr Očko has been appointed as the new Director General of the Confederation of Industry and Transport of the Czech Republic (Svaz průmyslu a dopravy ČR). He succeeds Daniel Urban, whose term ended in July 2026.

Očko brings extensive experience in institutional leadership, having previously served as the Chairman of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic, Director General of CzechInvest, and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade. In his new role, he aims to focus on strengthening the competitiveness of the Czech economy, improving the business environment, reducing administrative burdens for companies, and supporting the technological transformation of Czech industry.
