Petr Pavel discusses healthcare centralization and foreign policy

Czech President Petr Pavel held separate discussions regarding healthcare and foreign policy. During a meeting with Health Minister Adam Vojtěch, the two discussed the centralization of highly specialized medical care, such as surgeries for the liver, lungs, and pancreas, into dedicated centers. While the President supported this philosophy, he cautioned against designating a new hospital in Prague as a military facility, noting potential risks. Vojtěch emphasized that any new projects must ensure economic sustainability and integration into the existing Prague healthcare network.

Additionally, President Pavel is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Andrej Babiš to coordinate foreign policy. A primary focus of their meeting will be the upcoming United Nations General Assembly in New York, where the President will lead the Czech delegation. The discussions aim to align the country's international stance ahead of the summit.
