Petra Čiberová faces renovation setbacks after contractors abandon roof repair

Petra Čiberová, a woman with physical disabilities, is attempting to renovate a 150-year-old house in Unčovice near Olomouc to provide a stable home for her mother. Despite having nearly paralyzed legs, she performs much of the manual labor herself, including flooring and plastering.

However, the project faced a major setback when a construction crew from Kojetín, hired to replace the roof for 800,000 CZK, abandoned the job. After discovering burnt beams in the walls that required an additional 400,000 CZK in repairs, the workers left the site with their tools, leaving the house without a functional roof.
