Petra Janů reflects on her career and life with husband Michal Zelenka

Czech singer Petra Janů has shared details regarding her life and her long-standing relationship with her late husband, music producer Michal Zelenka. Janů reflects on their shared passion for a cottage in South Bohemia, a property they purchased years ago located near the site of two former churches. To honor Zelenka, who enjoyed fishing, Janů completed a long-delayed project to build a pond named ‘Michal’.

The singer also recounted the history of her career and her marriage. Originally performing under the name Jana Petrů during her time with the Semafor ensemble, she became one of the most prominent female voices of her generation, selling over a million records. She described her relationship with Zelenka, who served as both her husband and manager, noting that while they initially clashed, they maintained a stable marriage for over thirty years without public scandal.
