Petra University launches 30th iCOP program in Mojokerto with 124 international students

Universitas Kristen Petra (Petra University) marked the 30th edition of its International Community Outreach Program (iCOP) in Mojokerto, Indonesia, running from 13 July to 7 August 2026. The initiative involved 124 university students – 57 from Indonesia and 67 from South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, the Netherlands and Taiwan – who were placed in six villages to address waste management, dental health, early‑childhood education and the branding of a local coffee‑producing village. Program director Serli Wijaya said the aim is to create lasting benefits for the community, noting that “iCOP is presented to meet the needs of the local people and its impact continues after the students leave.” Rector Prof. Dr. Rolly Intan highlighted the goal of fostering global citizenship through hands‑on collaboration with village residents.
