Petržalka continues storm damage cleanup and assessment

Cleanup and damage assessment efforts are ongoing in Petržalka, the most heavily affected district of Bratislava, following a severe storm. Local authorities are prioritizing resident safety and the restoration of road accessibility.

Significant damage was reported in schools and sports facilities. Specifically, Budatínska Primary School experienced flooded classrooms and leaks, while the Veolia Aréna Draždiak area saw fallen trees impacting parking lots and outdoor sports fields. The storm also caused damage to vehicles, buildings, and local infrastructure.

Municipal workers have been working continuously since Friday to remove debris, clear blocked sewage inlets, and eliminate hazardous tree branches. Officials are currently totaling the final cost of the damages.
