Petrobaltic platform medical evacuation in the Baltic Sea

A medical evacuation was conducted on the Petrobaltic platform in the Baltic Sea following an urgent health report. An individual on the platform experienced severe abdominal pain, chills, and fever, prompting a physician to recommend immediate hospitalization.

The Maritime Search and Rescue Service coordinated the operation, deploying the rescue vessels Bryza and Monsun. Due to difficulties for ships to approach the platform directly, a Polish Navy helicopter was utilized for the transport. The patient was airlifted to the Gdańsk Zaspa airport, where they were transferred to emergency medical services for further care.
