Petrobras to begin SEAP infrastructure works in Sergipe in 2027

Petrobras executives announced that the infrastructure phase of the Sergipe Deep Water (SEAP) project will commence in 2027, with the first production platform slated for operation by 2030. The company has already started contracting for gas pipelines and other facilities needed to transport oil and natural gas from deep‑water fields off the coast of Sergipe, Brazil.

Sylvia Anjos, executive director of Exploration and Production at Petrobras, said the work will ensure all necessary installations are ready when the platform arrives, marking a new stage for the largest Petrobras project outside the pre‑sal region. The development is expected to boost Sergipe’s role as a major oil and gas hub in Brazil.
