Petrohan cave incident witness Atanas Rusev says he saw no wrongdoing

Five months after the deadly Petrohan cave incident in Bulgaria, families of the victims entered the mountain hut for the first time. bTV interviewed ecologist and speleologist Atanas Rusev, a key witness who had previously declined to speak. Rusev said he has been questioned four or five times and that new evidence emerges each month. He described his intensive training in Mexico to become a cave diver, noting that many speleologists attended similar courses. He asserted he observed nothing irregular in the group involved in the incident and emphasized the demanding nature of the training. He also mentioned that his relationship with fellow diver Ivo Kalushev is normal and not close. Rusev expressed hope that the truth about the case will soon become clear.
