Petrohemija suspends operations for 15 million euro overhaul

Petrohemija in Pančevo is suspending operations to undergo a major capital overhaul valued at 15 million euros. The complex project involves more than 11,000 individual activities.

According to Director Goran Stojiljković, the maintenance work will be carried out by 400 factory employees and 620 contractors, primarily from domestic companies. The scope of the project includes 28 special projects, with a specific focus on two high-pressure steam production boilers at the Ethylene plant and the reconstruction of steel structures at the synthetic rubber factory in Elemir.

Management stated that sufficient quantities of all petrochemical products have been secured to prevent market shortages during the maintenance period. Additionally, the company noted that residents of Pančevo should not experience any disruptions or visible flare activity during the process.
