Petrojet wins $22.7 million natural gas project in Jordan

Petrojet has secured a contract worth approximately $22.7 million to implement a natural gas connection project for the Al-Muwaqqar Industrial Development Zone in Jordan. The project, located south of Amman, involves the design, supply, and construction of a 22-kilometer natural gas pipeline that will connect the industrial zone to the Arab Gas Pipeline.

The scope of work also includes the construction of gas reduction and measurement stations, as well as a transmission and receiving room. The project is being executed by a consortium consisting of Petrojet and Ahmed Yousef Al-Tarawneh Company, acting as the general contractor. The estimated duration for completion is 18 months.

The contract was signed by Jordan’s Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, and Petrojet Chairman, Eng. Waleed Lutfi. This agreement aligns with the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources' strategy to expand the regional presence of Egyptian petroleum companies and utilize their technical expertise in international energy infrastructure projects.
