Petrolina launches new mobility app and completes road duplication

As part of its 131st anniversary celebrations, Petrolina has implemented several infrastructure and mobility initiatives. Mayor Simão Durando launched Ammpla Mob, a public urban mobility platform available on Android and iOS. The app integrates taxi, motorcycle taxi, and ride-hailing drivers, offering lower service fees of up to 18% to increase driver earnings while providing passengers with enhanced security features, such as real-time trip monitoring and emergency activation.

In addition to digital mobility, the city has completed the duplication of the BR-407 on Avenida Honorato Viana. The project, involving 11.3 kilometers of interventions and an investment of approximately R$ 130 million, was delivered alongside Transport Minister George Santoro. The work includes paving, drainage, signaling, and road safety devices to improve the flow of people and production in the São Francisco Valley.

To support the local transport workforce, a new driver lounge has been inaugurated near Municipal Park, providing amenities such as Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and rest areas. Meanwhile, the city continues its anniversary festivities with various cultural events and reinforced security measures provided by the Municipal Civil Guard.
