Petrolul Ploieşti transfers: Marco Dulca to Kayserispor and Atay Akgun joins

Romanian midfielder Marco Dulca has signed a two‑year contract with Turkish second‑division side Kayserispor after completing his medical in Turkey. The 26‑year‑old, who previously played for Petrolul Ploieşti, FCSB, Viitorul Constanţa and Celje, is reported to command a transfer fee of about €400,000.

Petrolul Ploieşti also announced the signing of 18‑year‑old Turkish defender Atay Akgun from Boluspor on a contract lasting until the end of the current season, with an option to extend for another year. Akgun, who has featured in the Turkish Cup, joins the club after its opening SuperLig victory, a 1‑0 win over Dinamo București. The club detailed a busy transfer window, listing several incoming and outgoing players.

Both moves reflect Petrolul’s strategy to reshape its squad ahead of the season, with Dulca departing for Turkey and Akgun arriving from the Turkish league.
