Petropar enters aviation fuel market with five new plants

Petróleos Paraguayos (Petropar) has officially entered the aviation fuel market, expanding its operations from land transport to the aeronautical sector. The state-owned company will commercialize Jet A-1 and AVGAS through a strategic expansion plan that includes the installation of five operational plants across Paraguay.

The project is being executed through a public-private partnership model in which a private operator has assumed the entirety of the economic investment for the facilities, requiring no state funds. This approach aims to increase company efficiency and profitability while diversifying revenue streams without compromising public resources.

The planned network will cover key locations, including Asunción, Ciudad del Este, Mariscal Estigarribia, and Concepción. The official launch, attended by President Santiago Peña, marked the commencement of the first operational terminal at the Capitán Miranda Airport.
