Petroprix launches in Poland as Moya fuel network sold to foreign consortium
Spanish discount fuel chain Petroprix has entered the Polish market, opening its first unmanned 24‑hour station in Cieszyn and seeking additional sites. The company’s model relies on fully automated dispensing and mobile‑app payments, offering lower fuel prices without on‑site retail services.
At the same time, Moya – Poland’s third‑largest fuel‑station network and the biggest privately‑owned chain – has been sold by Enterprise Investors to the US‑UK consortium Stonepeak and Energy Equation Partners. The transaction does not alter Moya’s expansion plans, including the rollout of about 180 electric‑vehicle charging points by the end of 2026, but it signals increased foreign investment in the sector.
Analysts say these developments could intensify competition in a market worth roughly 177 billion PLN annually, potentially driving fuel prices down while accelerating automation and electrification of stations.
