A heated confrontation occurred in court between actor Petros Filippidis and witness Spyros Bimbilas during the hearing of a lawsuit filed by Filippidis against a woman who had previously accused him of rape. The tension escalated when Filippidis entered the courtroom while Bimbilas was testifying and directed verbal attacks at him, calling him a “buffoon” and a “fool.”

Bimbilas, a fellow actor and Member of Parliament, testified regarding the cessation of Filippidis’s professional collaborations and made references to the actor’s personal life. The outburst led the presiding judge to temporarily suspend the proceedings to restore order.

Following the incident, Bimbilas released a statement on social media, asserting that he has never prioritized personal interest over ethics, truth, or human rights. He noted that insults leave him indifferent and strengthen his resolve to defend the right of individuals to report grievances.
