Petros Filippidis seeks conviction in false accusation lawsuit

Actor Petros Filippidis, previously convicted in a second-instance ruling for two attempted rapes, is awaiting a court decision regarding his lawsuit for false accusation and perjury against the first woman who accused him of rape.

During the proceedings at the former Evelpidon Academy courts, Filippidis's lawyer, Michalis Dimitrakopoulos, requested the woman's conviction, citing his client's acquittal on the original rape charges due to reasonable doubt. However, the prosecutor has recommended her acquittal, stating there is insufficient evidence to prove she acted with malicious intent.

The defense has indicated that they will appeal to the Supreme Court if the woman is acquitted.
