Petrova Gora commemorates 31st anniversary of Croat displacement
Approximately 1,500 pilgrims and believers gathered at the ruins of the former Pauline monastery on Petrova Gora to commemorate the 31st anniversary of Croats expelled from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The event featured a central Eucharistic celebration led by Fra Filip Karadža, the parish priest and administrator of the sanctuary of St. Ivo in Podmilačje. The gathering was co-organized by the parishes of St. Peter and Paul in Gvozdo and St. Anthony of Padua in Vojnić.
In his homily, Fra Filip reflected on the Benedictine principle of ‘Ora et labora’ (Pray and work), warning against the modern tendency to prioritize material achievement and labor over spiritual connection and prayer.
