Petrovietnam and Murphy Oil sign energy cooperation agreements

Petrovietnam and the U.S.-based Murphy Oil have entered into cooperation agreements regarding the Lac Da Vang field project (Block 15-1/05) in Vietnam. During a meeting in the United States, Petrovietnam General Director Le Manh Cuong and Murphy Oil CEO Eric M. Hambly exchanged documents intended to secure output and realize the commercial value of the project's expected oil and gas production.

Additionally, Petrovietnam has signed a framework partnership agreement with Murphy Exploration & Production Company (MEPCO). This agreement establishes a framework for cooperation in oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) in Vietnam, with an immediate focus on accelerating the development of the Hai Su Vang field and exploring new opportunities, particularly in the Cuu Long Basin. The partnership also includes the establishment of a joint working group to identify and propose potential projects.
