Petrovietnam and Rosatom partner on additive manufacturing center
Petrovietnam and Rosatom's Fuel Division have signed an agreement in Moscow to develop an additive manufacturing technology center in Vietnam. The partnership aims to move beyond simple 3D printing by establishing domestic capabilities for producing metal powder, a critical raw material for the process.
The center is intended to support the oil and gas and energy sectors by enabling the rapid production of complex components for drilling and pumping equipment. This technology allows for the creation of intricate parts through layer-by-layer material deposition, which can reduce production downtime, shorten supply chains, and facilitate the repair or reconstruction of large-scale equipment.
