Petrovsko Municipal Council approves budget and social welfare changes

The Petrovsko Municipal Council held its 12th session, where nine out of ten council members attended and unanimously approved all agenda items. Key decisions included the adoption of the semi-annual budget execution report for the first half of 2026 and the first amendments to the 2026 municipal budget.

The council approved changes to various development, sports, cultural, and social programs, as well as infrastructure maintenance and construction programs. New regulations were established regarding the use of municipal vans and social welfare criteria.

Specifically, the council clarified requirements for one-time financial assistance based on income and residency. Additionally, amendments were made to preschool education financing, setting co-financing rates at 55 percent for the first child and 80 percent for the second child or in cases of additional benefits. These benefits also extend to children in foster care within the municipality. Changes were also implemented for nanny service subsidies to address rising costs.
