Petrópolis hosts premiere of theater production “Um Rio Dentro de Mim”

The theater production “Um Rio Dentro de Mim” is scheduled to premiere in Petrópolis this Friday at the Centro Cultural Sesc Quitandinha. Produced by the company O Delirante, the play combines drama and music to explore themes of memory, loss, and emotional connections.

The narrative follows two sisters who reunite after the death of their mother, Ivone, while organizing her belongings. Through letters discovered in a basement, the characters uncover Ivone’s life story and her deep connection to the city of Rio de Janeiro. The performance features a script by Rebecca Noguchi, direction by Bernardo Dugin, and musical direction by Tony Lucchesi.
