Petter Northug places eighth in Toppidrettsveka roller ski sprint

At the Toppidrettsveka event, former cross-country skiing star Petter Northug secured an eighth-place finish in the roller ski sprint. Despite facing travel uncertainty due to an airline strike, Northug managed to arrive in Aure to compete.

In the men's final, American Zak Ketterson claimed a surprise victory, narrowly defeating 19-year-old Leopold Strand, a member of Northug's training team. Northug himself finished 42nd in the race.

In the women's competition, Swedish skier Moa Ilar delivered a dominant performance to win the 20-kilometer classic pursuit, finishing ahead of Milla Grosberghaugen Andreassen.
