Pettinari per l'Abruzzo movement urges urgent action on Via Rigopiano housing decay in Pescara

The local civic movement "Pettinari per l'Abruzzo", led by president Domenico Pettinari and councilors Massimiliano Di Pillo and Giovanni D’Andrea, has renewed its complaint about the public residential complex on Via Rigopiano in Pescara. Residents report persistent water infiltration in basements and common areas, structural deterioration, and the accumulation of large amounts of waste that have turned parts of the complex into illegal dumps, creating health and sanitation hazards.

The movement also describes a climate of intimidation and insecurity, with frequent night‑time movement of unknown persons near ground‑floor premises and allegations of possible drug trafficking. It demands five measures: immediate repair of leaks and structural defects, comprehensive cleaning and remediation of waste, increased police patrols especially after dark, thorough investigations of suspicious activity, and the creation of a permanent institutional coordination table involving the municipality and the regional housing agency (ATER).
