Peugeot 203 from 1958 certified as historic vehicle in Romania

A rare 1958 Peugeot 203 has been officially certified as a historic vehicle by the Romanian Auto Register (RAR) in Bucharest. The car, which was found in an advanced state of degradation, underwent several years of restoration by a Romanian enthusiast using parts sourced from France.

According to RAR representatives, there are fewer than five such functioning models currently in Romania. The Peugeot 203 was produced between 1948 and 1960, and this specific model features a 1,290 cm³ gasoline engine capable of reaching speeds over 115 km/h. The new certification allows the vehicle to be legally driven on public roads as a moving museum piece.
