Peugeot implements new quality and design strategy
Peugeot is implementing a strategic shift to enhance product quality and interior design across its vehicle lineup. CEO Alain Favey announced a new range of equipment aimed at addressing competitive comparisons and fulfilling the brand's promise of high-end, durable products.
As part of a process called ‘recharge’, the company is working to improve its current catalog ahead of major model renewals scheduled for 2028 and 2029. This includes taking corrective actions regarding specific engines that have faced quality issues. The strategy involves strengthening organizational structures and establishing more realistic timelines for new programs and vehicle functions.
A central component of Peugeot's design philosophy is the evolution of the i-Cockpit. The latest iteration, the Panoramic i-Cockpit, features a 21-inch high-definition curved unit that integrates the instrument cluster and central touchscreen. Newer models like the 208 also utilize 3D holographic digital instrumentation to prioritize urgent information for the driver, emphasizing a focus on ergonomics, premium materials, and digital integration.
