Peugeot introduces new Turbo 100 engine for the 208

Peugeot has introduced the new Turbo 100 petrol engine for the Peugeot 208, a popular supermini in the European and Greek markets. This third-generation 1.199 cc three-cylinder engine features 70% newly designed components, including a new timing chain, variable geometry supercharger, high-pressure direct injection system, pistons, and cylinder block.

The engine produces 101 hp at 5,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 205 Nm at 1,750 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The variable geometry supercharger is designed to optimize response at low RPMs, aiding urban driving and overtaking. The Style Plus version of the Peugeot 208 with this engine is available starting from 18,900 euros.
