Peugeot slashes prices by up to $27,000 amid Australian distribution limbo

Peugeot, a French brand owned by Stellantis, has announced steep discounts of up to $27,000 on its vehicle range in Australia. The biggest cut applies to the E‑Expert electric van, with other passenger models receiving reductions of more than $10,000.

The price reductions come as the Australian distributorship, currently held by Inchcape, is being wound down after just over nine years. Inchcape will relinquish its distribution rights, but no official handover date has been set while Stellantis evaluates whether to appoint a new local distributor or manage Peugeot’s Australian operations directly. Stellantis affirmed that the brand will remain in the market despite the recent exit of fellow French marque Citroën.

The discounts are intended to move existing stock as Inchcape phases out its involvement with the marque. The offers include savings of $26,805 on the E‑Expert Pro long‑wheel‑base electric van, $7,795 on the diesel‑powered Expert Pro short‑wheel‑base, and $13,125 on the Boxer Pro LWB diesel van, among others.
