Peyton Stearns wins inaugural all-women Red Bull BassLine event

Peyton Stearns won the inaugural all-women’s Red Bull BassLine event held at the Cincinnati Open. The Cincinnati native defeated Sofia Kenin 5-3, 5-3 in the championship match before a crowd of approximately 2,000 fans.

The Red Bull BassLine format integrates tennis with music and entertainment, featuring a tie-break style played to the beat of a live DJ without an umpire. The tournament included other WTA Tour players such as Emma Navarro, McCartney Kessler, Donna Vekić, and Eva Lys.

Participants noted the unique atmosphere of the event, which allows for crowd interaction and music during play. Emma Navarro described the competition as a beneficial warm-up ahead of the WTA 1000 Cincinnati Open.
