PFISTERER secures major high-voltage infrastructure contracts in Oman
PFISTERER Holding SE has announced two major contracts to expand high-voltage energy infrastructure in Oman. The projects, known as Misfah IPP and Majan Grid Station, involve the delivery and installation of connection and connection technology for voltage levels of 400 kV, 220 kV, and 132 kV.
The Majan Grid Station project includes the construction of a new substation with a capacity of 4,000 MVA, intended to strengthen the power supply for the Sohar Free Zone and surrounding regions. The Misfah IPP project will connect a new power plant to the national grid via a 400-kV underground cable connection to improve security of supply and support the integration of renewable energies.
While the total investment volume for these infrastructure projects is estimated at approximately 214 million USD, PFISTERER’s specific contract volume is reported to be in the high single-digit million-euro range. Work is scheduled to begin in early 2027.
