Pfizer lifts 2026 sales forecast to up to $62.5 billion

Pfizer raised its median 2026 sales outlook to a range of $60.5 billion‑$62.5 billion, up from the prior $59.5 billion‑$62.5 billion range, after reporting stronger‑than‑expected demand for the blood‑thinner Eliquis and the heart‑disease drug Vyndaqel in the second quarter.

The company posted second‑quarter revenue of $15 billion, a 1% year‑over‑year increase. Adjusted earnings per share were $0.77, while a loss per share of $0.04 reflected a $4.3 billion goodwill impairment. CEO Albert Bourla said the quarter met financial targets, highlighted progress in the obesity program and called the oncology portfolio a strength.

Pfizer also announced an extension of its cost‑cutting initiative, which aims to save $7 billion over five years and now targets additional savings through 2029, including automation, AI tools and staff reductions in certain locations.
