Pfizer oncology sales climb 9% after Seagen acquisition amid strong health‑sector outlook

Pfizer reported a 9% increase in its oncology division revenue, reaching $3.83 billion in the first quarter of 2026. The growth was led by Padcev, a Seagen product that generated $591 million, up 39% as its share of first‑line urothelial cancer treatment expanded. Pfizer attributed the rise to solid commercial momentum from newly launched and acquired products.

Analysts at JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley highlighted a resilient outlook for Brazil’s health‑care market in the second quarter of 2026. JPMorgan’s top picks include BradSaúde and Hypera, while it advises caution on Rede D’Or and Blau. Morgan Stanley expects mixed but generally stable results, noting that the World Cup and calendar effects may lower hospital occupancy, benefiting insurers but pressuring hospital operators. The firms anticipate that complex procedures and oncology services will continue to support revenue growth for companies such as Rede D’Or, Fleury and Dasa.
