Pfizer raises full-year outlook and appoints Cecile Guegan as CFO

Pfizer has increased its full-year revenue guidance to between $62 billion and $64 billion, up from a previous estimate of $60.5 billion to $62.5 billion. The company attributed this growth to strong performance from newly launched and acquired products, which helped offset lower Covid-related revenues.

The pharmaceutical company also announced the appointment of Cecile Guegan as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President. Guegan, a company veteran with over 25 years of experience in pharmaceutical finance, had been serving as interim CFO since August following the departure of Dave Denton.

Pfizer expects full-year adjusted profit to be between $2.95 and $3.05 per share, an increase from the previous guidance of $2.80 to $3.00 per share. CEO Albert Bourla noted that the company has successfully managed the volatility associated with Covid product revenues by driving growth in other areas of its portfolio.
