Pfizer shares see varied institutional moves amid CFO departure

Corient Private Wealth LLC cut its holding in Pfizer Inc. by 2.9% in the fourth quarter, leaving the firm with 2,829,723 shares valued at about $70.5 million. In contrast, Rockefeller Capital Management L.P. increased its stake by 27.1% to 1,842,275 shares worth roughly $45.9 million. Other institutional investors also adjusted positions: Morgan Stanley, Bank of New York Mellon, Franklin Resources and Janus Henderson raised their holdings, while Horizon Financial Services and several smaller firms added modest stakes.

These ownership changes occur as Pfizer reaffirmed its fiscal‑2026 guidance and announced the unexpected departure of its chief financial officer, who is moving to a consumer‑goods role. Analysts noted the CFO exit could add uncertainty to the company’s financial discipline, contributing to recent stock slides despite the reaffirmed outlook.
