Pflugdorf warehouse fire causes millions in damage

Two commercial warehouses in the Pflugdorf industrial area were destroyed by a major fire on Monday. The blaze was discovered by the business owner, who noticed smoke while visiting the site to collect goods.

Approximately 180 firefighters from the southern district and the city of Landsberg, supported by the Technical Relief Agency (THW), worked to extinguish the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent buildings. A large smoke cloud was visible across much of the southern and central district. Police estimate the property damage to be in the millions of euros. The affected company specializes in the design and distribution of Oktoberfest souvenirs, fan merchandise, and promotional items for the tourism, winter sports, and automotive industries.
