Pforzheim Christopher Street Day Parade Remains Peaceful, Police Report

On Saturday 13 June 2026, the city of Pforzheim hosted a Christopher Street Day (CSD) event that included a stationary gathering on the market square and a one‑hour parade of about 1,400 participants through the city centre. A second rally of roughly 40 participants started at Waisenhausplatz and also proceeded without incident. Two smaller assemblies of 15 and six people took place near the pedestrian‑zone entrance, all reported as peaceful.

The police precinct deployed several hundred officers, including canine units, mounted police, and anti‑conflict teams, to ensure safety. Minor disruptions involved a driver insulting a participant and two alleged assaults that are under investigation, as well as a probe into four individuals for possible breach of assembly law while masked. Temporary road closures were implemented in the inner and north districts. Police chief Jennifer Lautensack praised the preparation and coordination with city authorities, noting that no serious incidents occurred.
