Pforzheim hazardous waste mobile to visit nine locations

The hazardous waste mobile (Problemstoffmobil) will visit nine locations in Pforzheim from Tuesday, October 20, to Friday, October 23. This service allows residents to dispose of toxic materials that cannot be processed with regular household waste.

Eligible hazardous materials include chemicals, pesticides, oil-contaminated cloths, cleaning agent residues, and filled spray cans. To ensure safe classification, officials recommend keeping substances in their original packaging and avoiding mixing different materials.

Note that dried wall and dispersion paints are not classified as hazardous waste and can be disposed of in regular residual waste bins, while the empty containers should go into the yellow recycling bin. Improperly discarding toxic waste poses risks to humans and the environment and is considered an administrative offense.
