Pforzheim Mayor visits partner city Częstochowa

A delegation from Pforzheim, led by Mayor Peter Boch, visited the Polish partner city of Częstochowa from September 7 to 10. The visit focused on reviewing existing cooperation and planning new joint projects.

Discussions covered urban and economic development, specifically the revitalization of former industrial sites. The delegation also addressed social policy issues, including the integration of Ukrainian refugees, foster care, and crisis intervention measures. Cultural exchange was a key component, with visits to the Częstochowa Museum, the Municipal Art Gallery, and the Adam Mickiewicz Theater. The partnership between the two cities has existed since 1989 and was formalized by an official contract in 2007.
