Pforzheim opens applications for 2027 partner city exchange program
The city of Pforzheim has called upon schools, groups, and associations to submit proposals for its 2027 exchange program. Applications for projects with partner cities must be submitted by October 15, 2026.
Eligible partner cities include Gernika (Spain), Györ-Moson-Sopron (Hungary), Nevsehir (Turkey), Osijek (Croatia), Saint-Maur-des-Fossés (France), Czestochowa (Poland), and Vicenza (Italy). The partnership with Irkutsk, Russia, remains suspended due to the war in Ukraine.
To qualify for municipal funding, projects generally require a partner group and must be based on mutual exchange. For sports or cultural activities, participation in competitions or performances is required. Funding is primarily available for youths up to age 18 or 27 without independent income, as well as group leaders according to specific guidelines. Purely tourist or private trips are not eligible for support.
