Pforzheim to host Smart City Hackathon using AI

The city of Pforzheim is hosting a Smart City Hackathon from November 6 to November 8 at the Volksbankhaus. As part of the Smart City Days, interdisciplinary teams will use urban data and artificial intelligence to develop prototypes and concepts to address regional challenges.

The event features three primary challenges: using AI and aerial imagery to detect illegal structures or waste in protected landscapes, improving winter service planning through more reliable temperature sensor data, and an open challenge for participants to propose their own solutions using open data and AI for the Pforzheim and Enzkreis regions.
