PFR Foundation and SGH launch scholarship for students

The PFR Foundation, in collaboration with the SGH Warsaw School of Economics and ICG Poland, has launched ‘Szansa na Start’, a national scholarship program designed to support high-achieving high school students from smaller towns.

The initiative aims to mitigate the rising dropout rates in Polish higher education, which have been driven by increasing living costs. The program targets students aged 17–19 who plan to study economics or business and meet specific academic and financial criteria, including a grade point average above 4.5 and a net household income below 2,000 PLN per person.

Participants will receive two stages of support: monthly financial assistance for tutoring and equipment through June 2027, followed by a monthly scholarship of 2,000 PLN starting in October 2027 to cover accommodation and living expenses during their first year of university. Additionally, students will receive two years of professional mentoring from experts within the PFR Capital Group to assist in career planning.
