PGA Tour CEO reviews LIV Golf return paths and membership rules

PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp has addressed potential paths for LIV Golf players to return to the tour, emphasizing that any returning players must demonstrate they are free from previous contractual obligations. Rolapp noted that Brooks Koepka has already fulfilled this requirement after mutually ending his contract with LIV Golf.

Rolapp stressed the importance of enforcing existing rules to maintain the integrity and accountability of the organization. He noted that LIV players are typically subject to a one-year ban from PGA Tour-sanctioned events following their last appearance in the rival league.

Additionally, the PGA Tour is reviewing its rules regarding dual-tour players. The current requirement for a minimum number of starts to maintain home-tour status—a rule currently impacting Rory McIlroy—is under evaluation as part of a broader overhaul of the tour’s competitive model and the upcoming introduction of the Championship Series.
