PGA Tour Expands Top‑Tier Series and Launches Veteran Ticket Program for TOUR Championship

The PGA Tour announced that the Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Connecticut will become part of a new top‑tier Championship Series beginning in 2028, joining the four majors, The Players Championship, playoff events and the Ryder and Presidents Cups in a schedule of 23‑24 elite tournaments. PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp highlighted the series' growth, while Travelers vice‑president Andy Bessette said the inclusion validates the event’s stature.

Separately, the TOUR Championship at Atlanta’s East Lake Golf Club will partner with Chipotle Mexican Grill to offer discounted tickets to veterans, their families, and college students. Chipotle will provide a “Buy‑One‑Get‑One” code for each military ticket purchased and a 25% discount for students with a valid .edu address. TOUR Championship Vice President Alex Urban emphasized the tournament’s commitment to supporting the military community.
