PGA Tour releases 2026 FedExCup Playoffs schedule and $178 million prize pool

The PGA Tour has detailed the 2026 FedExCup Playoffs, which will begin with the FedEx St. Jude Championship (August 13‑16) followed by the BMW Championship (August 20‑23) and conclude with the TOUR Championship. The field starts with the top 70 players, narrows to 50 after the first event, and then to 30 for the final tournament.

Prize money is split between tournament purses and a separate FedExCup bonus pool. The bonus distribution totals $97.875 million, while the three playoff events each carry a $20 million purse. The TOUR Championship adds a $40 million purse, with $10 million awarded to the winner. Combined, the payouts amount to roughly $177.9 million. A player who leads the standings after the BMW Championship and wins the TOUR Championship could earn about $33 million in total.

All figures are quoted in U.S. dollars, reflecting the PGA Tour’s standard payment schedule. The schedule and financial structure underscore the heightened stakes of the postseason, with no cuts in any of the three events and limited opportunities for alternates.
