PGE, Amica, and Publicis Warsaw report key business developments
PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna reported strong financial results for the second quarter of 2026, with repeatable EBITDA reaching 3.96 billion PLN. The company's net profit without write-offs rose to 2.27 billion PLN, a significant turnaround from a loss in the same period the previous year. This growth was driven by record performance in the gas energy and district heating segments. PGE announced plans to invest up to 235 billion PLN by 2035 to support energy transformation, including offshore wind, gas power, and large-scale energy storage.
Amica Group reported sales revenues of 1.11 billion PLN for the first half of 2026. Despite weak demand in Europe, the company saw growth in the Western region, specifically in Spain, where sales increased by 64% year-on-year. However, sales in other markets fell by 20% due to economic conditions in Kazakhstan.
In the marketing sector, Publicis Warsaw has been selected to manage advertising for the Żywiec beer brand in Poland. The agency replaces 2012 Agency, which had handled the brand since 2017. This decision follows a broader global review by Heineken to consolidate its marketing partnerships.
