Phú Quốc's APEC 2027 Projects Draw International Entrepreneurs, Speed Up Construction

International entrepreneurs are increasingly viewing Vietnam's Phú Quốc island as a long‑term career hub. Turkish businessman Fabl Belek, who now runs Istanbul Beach Club, and Indian entrepreneur Manish Vyav, who expanded from a small food stall to three restaurants and plans a hotel, cite the upcoming APEC 2027 summit, high‑end housing projects and a growing tourism ecosystem as reasons to settle on the island.

At the same time, Sun Group, in partnership with Changi Airports International, is rapidly advancing the construction of the APEC 2027 conference complex, which will include the world’s largest ballroom. By early August, the main structures were about 97‑98% complete in concrete and steel, with exterior work slated for completion on 30 October 2026 and interior fit‑out targeted for 30 March 2027. The project faces typical challenges such as rainy‑season conditions, material logistics and imported equipment, but progress remains on schedule.
