Pham Nhat Vuong remains Vietnam's wealthiest individual with $36.5 billion
Pham Nhat Vuong, Chairman of Vingroup, remains the wealthiest individual in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. According to Forbes data as of late August 2026, his net worth has reached approximately $36.5 billion, ranking him 60th globally. This represents a $6 billion increase since the beginning of 2026.
Significant wealth growth is also noted within the Vingroup leadership. Pham Thu Huong, Vice Chairwoman of Vingroup and wife of Pham Nhat Vuong, has seen her assets rise to $4.1 billion, moving her to the second position among Vietnam's wealthiest individuals and climbing 361 places in the global Forbes rankings. Pham Thuy Hang, also a Vingroup Vice Chairwoman, has seen her stock value increase by 39%, rising to the third position among the country's wealthiest.
In the broader Vietnamese stock market, the total value of the top 20 wealthiest individuals reached approximately 1.51 quadrillion VND by late August 2026. The wealth of the top 20 group increased by nearly 330 trillion VND compared to the end of 2025, with the majority of this growth driven by Vingroup shareholders. Other notable figures include Tran Dinh Long of Hoa Phat, whose stock value decreased by 8%, and Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao of Vietjet Air, who holds an estimated $4 billion.
