Pham Thu Huong discusses Thien Tam Foundation's 20-year philanthropic mission

Pham Thu Huong, Vice Chairwoman of Vingroup and co-founder of the Thien Tam Foundation, has shared insights into the organization’s 20-year philanthropic mission. The foundation, established in 2006, focuses on providing long-term opportunities, livelihoods, and knowledge to foster self-reliance in those it supports, rather than merely offering short-term aid.

Approximately 90% of the funding for the Thien Tam Foundation comes from the personal finances of Vingroup leaders. Huong noted that the motivation for their sustained charitable work stems from a desire to express gratitude to previous generations and to share the opportunities they received through education and international experience. The foundation has engaged in various community activities, including supporting the construction of temporary housing for residents of Nul village following Typhoon Yagi.
